Ledger's cause of death determined

It was confirmed Wednesday morning that Heath Ledger's actual cause of death was in fact an accidental drug overdose. In a statement released this morning by the New York Medical examiner, spokesperson Ellen Borakove explained that Ledger death was the cause of "acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine."
This ruling comes two weeks after the actor's death in his New York apartment. Ledger's publicist did release a statement on Wednesday itterating that the prescription medications were not taken in excess but rather it was the combination of prescribed medications proved fatal. Ledger's family will be conducting a private funeral in Heath Ledger's hometown of Perth, Australia. For a more detailed release, head over to APP.com.
